The Institute of Criminal Investigations (ICI) Training program delivers comprehensive POST-certified courses covering a wide spectrum of specialized investigative disciplines. From cybercrime to homicide, these advanced courses equip law enforcement professionals with the expertise needed to handle complex criminal investigations effectively.
ICI Certificate of Achievement
An ICI Certificate is achieved by successfully completing three phases and includes approximately 200 hours of training: (1) the ICI Core Course, (2) an ICI Foundation Specialty Course, and (3) a minimum of 72 hours of qualifying investigative elective courses. All courses must be completed within 10 years of the application submission date (excluding the ICI Core Course). ICI Foundation Specialty Courses may not be used as investigative electives. Students can receive an ICI Certificate in more than one specialty area but may only use a course once for all ICI Certificates (except the ICI Core Course).
