The utilization of confidential informants and confidential information are critical tools for the law enforcement investigator, but must be handled and managed carefully to reduce the degree of liability for both law enforcement personnel and agencies. This 24-hour course will provide investigators with the information and skills to aid them in the successful cultivation and management of confidential informants. The course is designed for active hands-on participation by the students. The course will provide a multidisciplinary perspective from an investigator, law enforcement supervisor and district attorney.
