Course Description

This 8-hour course will address the needs of law enforcement agencies operating temporary holding facilities and meets the training mandated by Title 15 §1024, California Code of Regulations. This course is designed to teach participants about minimum jail standards, liability, inmate classification and segregation, emergency procedures and planning, and suicide prevention.

Virtual Format: This course is also offered in a live virtual platform. Students enrolling in the virtual platform will experience and practice the same course content as those attending the in-person format, but will be working as a student from their home or office. This version requires students to have and use a laptop/computer with microphone and camera. The platform will not work on phones or tablets. No call-ins allowed.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received more than ten (10) business days prior to the start of the class will not be charged. If payment has already been made, it will be refunded. Cancellations received ten (10) or less business days before the start of the class will be charged at full price. This late cancellation charge compensates RTC for the non-refundable costs incurred prior to the start date of the course.

No Shows: A No Show on the day of the class will result in a full charge for the class.
