Course Description

This one-day, 8-hour course is aimed at patrol officers and supervisors responsible for the preliminary response to domestic violence calls. This interactive training will provide students with skills necessary to safely and successfully handle these calls for service.  A dynamic and multi-disciplinary team of instructors will provide case examples, facilitate discussion around common challenges and provide strategies for overcoming those issues. 

The course meets the continued professional training hours and the domestic violence mandate under PC 13519(e), and required Advanced Officer Training.

POST Reimbursement Plan IV: There is no tuition for POST reimbursable agencies. Travel reimbursement is available via Training Reimbursement Request (TRR).*

*Travel may also be reimbursed through grant funding – Scholarship Funding for travel is available through the California Office of Emergency Services (OES) Law Enforcement Training Program Grant PO24019001.
